JAMWAF Article Management System
About JAMWAF
What is JAMWAF?

JAMWAF (Japanese Animation and Manga West Australian Fanzine) is a magazine published by JAFWA, a West Australian anime fan club. JAMWAF's content includes articles, reviews, news, columns, entertainment and more - basically anything that is likely to be of interest to anime fans!

JAMWAF has been running for over eight years, under various editors, and is perpetually seeking contributions from the general public to fill its pages.

When/How often is it published?

JAMWAF is published three times a year. Due to the fact that it is a fanzine run and contributed to by people with lives of their own to take care of, exact publication dates are never possible to maintain.

Where can I get a copy?

Originally intended just for JAFWA members in Western Australia, JAMWAF has extended distribution and is now also available in Adelaide (Pulp Fiction Comics) and Melbourne (Minotaur Entertainment).

JAMWAF is always looking to expand distribution to new areas. If you are able to facilitate this, please let Jon Hayward (contact details below) know.

About the JAMWAF Article Management System
What is the JAMWAF Article Management System?

The Article Management System (AMS) is a web-based system for submitting content to JAMWAF, where it can be viewed and commented upon before publication.

Logged in members have the ability to upload documents to the system for publication in a future issue of JAMWAF. Members also have access to the message board, where they can chat with fellow members.

For guests, the AMS allows you to browse and view content which has been submitted, and download archives of previously published submissions.

Who can submit?

Anyone is welcome to submit, as long as the work is yours and is suitable to be published in JAMWAF. Simply register an account and use the Submit Document link to get started!

What can I submit?

JAMWAF is primarily a magazine for those interested in anime and manga, however content regarding material such as Japanese life and culture, gaming, conventions, cosplay, etc, are also welcome.

The type of content can be articles, reviews, news, games and puzzles, comics... This list is by no way complete - you are welcome to upload any content you feel may be relevant, and it will be considered for publication.

Who is responsible for the AMS?

The AMS is coded and maintained by Greg Baatard (gbaatard@iinet.net.au). Inquiries of a technical nature, such as those concerning features of the site, should be directed to him.

Management of the content, and indeed JAMWAF itself, is performed by Jon Hayward (sonictail@jafwachat.com). Enquiries regarding things such as publication, content or editing should be directed to him.

Where did my submission go? / Why are there so few submissions?

The AMS has an archive feature, enabling submitted documents to be collated into a single .zip file. This is typically done to remove published documents when an issue of JAMWAF is released. Contents of archives can be viewed by clicking the full view link on the archive preview.

The home page of the AMS is intended to contain current documents, i.e. those which have not yet been published. Archiving published documents keeps the site tidy and up-to-date.
